Desleigh was a newspaper, wedding and family photographer for more than 18 years. Now I’m a mum of 3 ratbags, Ryan (7) Georgie (5) & Roxy dog (11).
Before the Toolbox, I had been using Peel'n'Stick albums for years - our ‘Classic’ range. When my supplier announced his retirement in 2015, I wondered what I’d do. I’d always printed and assembled my own albums, and I couldn’t find another supplier that made what I used, so I decided to buy his business! Being a 'customer' and a photographer for so long helped me understand the industry, the products and how to know what photographers were looking for.
I don’t shoot anymore. The Toolbox keeps me busy enough. But I still love designing and helping photographers find their way in the photography world. Photography businesses and enthusiasts are all welcome at The Toolbox. We have something for everyone, no matter what you shoot. We’ve been going for 4 years now, and we’ve added so many new and unique products to the range. We’re always working on something new, so please stay in touch.
Jason is Desleigh’s husband and right hand man. Jay joined us in March 2019, and it was the best decision we ever made. He’s kept busy with running the warehouse, stock control and dispatch. He also does most of the running around for the kids. Drop offs and pick ups, excursions and bush kinder keep him super busy, and he loves every minute of it.
Rory is the 'quiet' one in the team, and Desleigh’s big brother. You won't always see or hear him, but he's there in the background, helping things run smoothly. Rory does a lot of our website maintenance and marketing. When he's not at the warehouse, he's busy shooting annual reports & architecture around the world for his clients.
Rainbow is our packing queen. She takes great pride in carefully preparing your orders for dispatch, and handwriting your thank you notes. She loves dogs and rollerskating. When she’s not up to her eyeballs in packing orders, you’ll find her spinning around on roller skates, practicing for her next big comp, or down by the river, relaxing with her pooch and some friends.
Where We Are:
Our showroom and warehouse is at 5/17 Southfork Drive, Kilsyth, Victoria, Australia, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You are welcome to collect your orders directly from the warehouse, or visit our showroom to take a closer look at our products. We don't follow 'normal' business hours, so please give us a call on 0412 840 269 to arrange a time. Our showroom is open by appointment.
